Senior Director, Platforms & Infrastructure

About the role

Emirates Global Aluminium is seeking a Senior Director to lead its Platforms & Infrastructure function. The role is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted IT operations, managing user support, and delivering services in line with defined SLAs and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the IT Services strategy, aligning it with corporate objectives and integrating with other departmental strategies.
• Oversee policy, process and control implementation for all IT service activities, ensuring compliance with procedural and legislative requirements.
• Manage the IT Services budget, monitor financial performance and identify cost‑saving or performance‑improvement opportunities.
• Direct data‑center, infrastructure, help‑desk and application support functions to meet quality standards and user needs.
• Lead technical architecture, network and telecommunications operations, including hardware monitoring, infrastructure upgrades and standards development.
• Maintain information security controls, backup, virus protection and disaster‑recovery plans in coordination with IT Security.
• Build and sustain relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, contractors and consultants, ensuring ethical and effective service delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent; professional project‑management qualification preferred.
• 8‑10 years of IT operations and systems support experience, including at least 4 years in senior managerial roles within a large manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience managing IT vendor and contractor relationships.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of routers, switches and modems.
• Experience with PC hardware, printers, scanners and related peripherals.
• Expertise in IT systems support and infrastructure management.
