AI Application Development Engineer Graduate – Procurement

About the role

Join ByteDance's Corporate Information department to help transform a traditional procurement system into an AI‑native platform. As a graduate engineer you will work on cutting‑edge Procurement Agents and the underlying System AI Harness that automate planning, tool use, memory and multi‑step reasoning for large‑scale business processes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain core services, business logic, data flows and system integrations that power AI‑native procurement.
• Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of Procurement Agents, from concept and implementation to validation, release and continuous improvement.
• Explore and implement AI Agent capabilities such as planning, tool use, memory management and multi‑step reasoning, turning research prototypes into reliable production features.
• Ensure solutions are maintainable, scalable, performant and operationally stable.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (or graduating soon) with a strong interest in AI and large‑scale system engineering.
• Ability to commit to an onboarding date by the end of the year and clearly state availability and graduation date.
• Willingness to tackle complex, high‑value business workflows and contribute to both product and technical foundations.
