AI Designer – AI Image Specialist

About the role

Puffy, a top‑5 US mattress brand with over $1 billion in sales, is looking for an AI Image Specialist to own AI‑generated hero, lifestyle and advertising imagery for its ecommerce and marketing channels. You will define prompting approaches, reference workflows and production standards, reporting directly to the UX/UI Design Lead.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain AI‑assisted workflows that produce photorealistic product imagery at brand‑standard consistency.
• Create reusable prompting techniques, reference‑image libraries and quality standards for the design team.
• Produce end‑to‑end creative assets, from AI generation through compositing, retouching and final delivery for ecommerce pages and paid campaigns.
• Apply UI/UX design principles to image placement, ensuring visual hierarchy and mobile usability.
• Evaluate new image‑generation tools and integrate those that improve quality or efficiency.

Required profile

• Exceptional portfolio showcasing commercial AI‑generated photorealistic product and lifestyle imagery.
• Hands‑on experience with AI image models (ChatGPT Images, Nano Banana Pro, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, Adobe Firefly or equivalents).
• Strong prompt engineering skills, including multimodal inputs, in‑painting, out‑painting and iterative editing.
• Advanced Photoshop, compositing and retouching abilities to deliver production‑ready assets.
• Practical UI/UX design experience with an eye for how imagery behaves in live interfaces.
