AI Platforms Operations Director (UAE National)

About the role

This strategic leadership position is responsible for defining and governing the architecture, operations, and lifecycle management of enterprise AI platforms that enable large‑scale digital transformation for a national government organisation. The role combines oversight of AI platform performance, DevOps/MLOps capabilities, vendor partnerships and cloud optimisation to ensure secure, scalable AI adoption across multiple stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the strategy, architecture and governance of enterprise AI platforms and their operational environments.
• Develop and scale DevOps and MLOps pipelines to accelerate AI solution delivery.
• Oversee platform performance, reliability, security, lifecycle management and cloud optimisation initiatives.
• Create reusable AI accelerators, templates, sandboxes and development frameworks to improve efficiency and standardisation.
• Manage strategic technology partners and vendors, ensuring service excellence and continuous innovation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 9 years' experience in AI platforms, cloud technologies, digital transformation, DevOps or MLOps environments.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams, performance and strategic technology initiatives.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms, AI engineering, platform architecture, automation pipelines and operational governance.
