AI Research Intern – Medical Image Analysis

About the role

United Imaging Intelligence (UII), founded in 2017 and led by Professor Dinggang Shen and Dr. Xiang Sean Zhou, develops AI solutions for medical devices, imaging and diagnosis. It is looking for an AI Research Intern to join its team of researchers and engineers in medical AI.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in AI algorithm research and development for medical image analysis.
• Join research collaborations with hospitals and research institutions; publishing high-quality conference and journal papers is strongly encouraged.

Required profile

• Graduate student in computer science, biomedical engineering, electronic engineering, applied mathematics or similar; Ph.D. students are preferred.
• Full-time internship (5 days per week) for at least 3 months, or part-time (3 days per week) for at least 6 months.
• Good learning and communication skills, and good English communication and writing skills.

Required skills

• Familiarity with state-of-the-art deep learning algorithms and one of the main deep learning platforms such as PyTorch, TensorFlow or Caffe.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
• A strong publication record in top conferences and journals on medical image analysis, computer vision and machine learning is preferred.
