AI Security Engineer

About the role

The AI Security Engineer is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. You will design, implement and maintain security controls for AI systems, applications and infrastructure. The role involves assessing risks, conducting threat modelling, reviewing AI pipelines and responding to security incidents while collaborating with development, data‑science and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls for AI/ML platforms, applications and supporting infrastructure.
• Identify and assess security risks across the AI/ML lifecycle, from data preparation to model deployment and monitoring.
• Protect AI models, datasets, APIs and cloud environments against threats such as prompt injection, data poisoning, adversarial attacks and data leakage.
• Conduct security assessments, threat modelling and penetration testing for AI solutions.
• Integrate security testing into CI/CD pipelines and support MLOps/DevSecOps practices.
• Monitor AI systems for vulnerabilities, investigate incidents and coordinate response actions.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, procedures and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, AI security, application or cloud security.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML security principles, threat models and OWASP Top 10 for LLM applications.

Required skills

• Python scripting for security automation.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• IAM, encryption, network and API security.
• Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• MLOps and DevSecOps concepts.
• Vulnerability assessment and penetration testing.
