Data Security Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Data Security Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain enterprise‑wide data protection and encryption solutions. The role focuses on safeguarding critical data assets across multiple sites, supporting PCI DSS and GDPR audits, and ensuring compliance with ISO‑27001 frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and manage Thales CipherTrust Manager, Transparent Data Encryption, CipherTrust Application Data Protection, CipherTrust Transparent Encryption, and HSMs using KMIP protocols.
• Administer IBM Guardium and Imperva Database Activity Monitoring and File Activity Monitoring, including S‑Tap agent installations and policy enforcement.
• Implement ISO‑27001 control frameworks, conduct risk assessments, and provide evidence for PCI DSS, GDPR, and financial compliance audits.
• Manage DLP tools (Safetica) and endpoint protection solutions (Heimdal, Microsoft Defender) across corporate devices.
• Monitor SIEM platforms (FortiSIEM), analyze alerts, and drive incident response and vulnerability remediation.
• Configure and maintain network perimeter security components such as WAF, IPS/IDS, firewalls, and IPSec VPN tunnels.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and red‑team testing using Nessus, BurpSuite, Nmap, Netcat, and Kali Linux.

Required profile

• 4–5 years of hands‑on experience in data security, encryption, and compliance governance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CipherTrust Data Security Professional, ISO‑27001 Lead Implementer, CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISA or Microsoft MD‑100.
• Valid UAE driving licence and ability to work with cross‑functional IT teams.
