AI Solutions Developer / Engineer

About the role

As part of the AI Value Lab at Damen Shipyards Group, you will be the technical explorer and hands‑on builder turning business opportunities into AI‑powered proof‑of‑concepts, prototypes and scalable solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders, data specialists and technology teams to experiment with emerging models and deliver measurable business impact.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain AI‑driven applications, copilots, intelligent agents and automation solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform and Azure AI Services.
• Create integrations between AI solutions, business systems, APIs and data sources.
• Translate business challenges into Proof of Concepts, Minimum Viable Products and production‑ready solutions.
• Evaluate emerging AI models, tools and frameworks; experiment with prompt engineering, agent orchestration and workflow automation.
• Support the transition of successful prototypes into reliable, production‑grade business applications.
• Communicate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences and produce documentation and training material.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Software Engineering, Data Science or a related field.
• 3‑6 years of experience in solution development, automation or digital transformation.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience with AI technologies or AI‑enabled solutions.
• Proven ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to solve complex problems.
• Comfortable working in fast‑moving, innovation‑focused environments.
