Air Freight Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑driven Air Freight Coordinator to manage the end‑to‑end movement of air cargo shipments, from booking and documentation through to final delivery. The role operates in a fast‑paced logistics environment, requiring proactive problem‑solving and a commitment to on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and book international and domestic air freight shipments with airlines and forwarders.
• Prepare and verify shipping documentation such as Air Waybills, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs paperwork.
• Track shipments in real time and proactively resolve delays, discrepancies, or exceptions.
• Liaise with customers, carriers, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure smooth cargo flow.
• Ensure compliance with IATA regulations, customs requirements, and company SOPs.
• Negotiate rates and space allocation with airlines or carriers as needed.
• Maintain accurate records in the freight/TMS system and generate shipment status reports.
• Handle discrepancies, claims, and exceptions professionally and promptly.
• Identify efficient routing and consolidation opportunities to support cost control.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, agents, and clients.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in air freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain coordination.
• Working knowledge of IATA regulations, Air Waybill documentation, and customs processes.
• Strong organizational abilities and capacity to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm and solutions‑focused under tight deadlines.
