Airconditioning & Refrigeration Technician

About the role

We are looking for an Airconditioning & Refrigeration Technician to join the Westin hotel in Dubai. The role involves responding to guest maintenance requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all building systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests, communicate solutions, and document daily activities.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, kitchen, and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and visual inspections.
• Identify and operate shut‑off valves and utility controls, maintain inventory, and requisition parts as needed.
• Carry out surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repairs, and replace light bulbs, A/C filters, and electrical components.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair air‑conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical systems, and perform landscaping and sprinkler repairs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting; hotel engineering experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license.
