Aircraft Mechanic - G6000

About the role

Saab is looking for an Aircraft Mechanic for its Abu Dhabi site. The Mechanic takes part in line and base maintenance activities, as required by company procedures and delegated by the Licensed Engineers and Engineering Managers, and helps maintain high standards of aircraft maintenance safely and on time.

Key responsibilities

• With the Aircraft Engineers, troubleshoot, inspect, repair and maintain aircraft, engines, avionics, electrical systems and ground support equipment.
• Carry out defect rectification efficiently and effectively.
• Perform specialist assignments including flight-line and base maintenance, aircraft repairs, training, refueling, marshalling and pre-flight and post-flight checks.
• Undertake acceptance inspections on components and equipment and assist with parts inventory management.

Required profile

• Experience in maintenance procedures and inspections, with a good understanding of technical reference materials such as maintenance manuals, illustrated part catalogues, service bulletins, structural repair manuals, engineering drawings and airworthiness notes.
• Fluent written and spoken English and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and share knowledge with colleagues and customers.
• Organized, adaptable and flexible, with strong interpersonal and administrative skills and computer literacy.
• Security clearance: the candidate must be approved in a security vetting in accordance with ISO 27001.
• Preference for candidates with experience in corporate or private aviation, or on the Global 6000.

• Quality work according to military and/or civil aviation standards.
• Good administration skills and computer literacy.
