Airworthiness Manager

About the role

The Airworthiness Manager is the nominated Head of Airworthiness for Etihad Engineering's Design Organisation. Reporting to the Head of the Design Organisation, the role ensures that all design activities comply with the company’s Design Organisation Handbook, procedures and technical manuals, and that continued airworthiness is maintained throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor design activities and advise the Head of Design Organisation on all airworthiness matters.
• Track new regulations and guidance from the aviation authority and keep staff updated.
• Procure and distribute certification specifications, environmental and operational data as required.
• Update the Design Organisation Handbook, procedures and manuals and submit amendments to the authority promptly.
• Co‑operate with the authority to develop certification procedures and liaise directly for interpretation of airworthiness issues.
• Ensure design work stays within the approved scope of the Design Organisation certificate.
• Classify and approve changes, repairs, minor type‑certificate modifications and minor repairs.
• Submit major change data for Supplemental Type Certificate acquisition.
• Provide regular reports on design activities and maintain controlled design data archives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in airworthiness management and aircraft design assurance.
• Strong knowledge of aviation regulatory frameworks and certification processes.
• Proven ability to interact with aviation authorities and interpret regulatory requirements.
• Detail‑oriented with a track record of maintaining accurate compliance documentation.
