Alumni Engagement & Employability Officer

About the role

The American University of Ras Al Khaimah is seeking a motivated and organized Officer to lead alumni engagement and enhance student employability. You will build relationships with alumni, employers, and industry partners while supporting students and graduates in career readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement alumni engagement initiatives such as events, networking opportunities, career talks and social activities.
• Maintain accurate alumni records, databases and communication channels.
• Support delivery of career development programs, workshops and guidance on CV writing, interview preparation and job‑search strategies.
• Coordinate career‑related initiatives that connect students and graduates with employers and industry professionals.
• Organise career fairs, recruitment days, employer networking events and alumni panels.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Mass Communication, Education, Liberal Arts or related field; Master's degree is desirable.
• Minimum 2 years of post‑bachelor professional experience, preferably in a customer‑facing or higher‑education setting.
• Proven experience working with students, alumni and employers, with strong interpersonal communication skills.

Required skills

• Excellent oral and written communication in English and Arabic.
• Strong organisational and project‑management abilities.
• Ability to analyse and improve operating practices.
