AML Compliance Supervisor

About the role

A leading insurance organisation in the UAE is hiring an experienced AML Compliance Supervisor through its recruiter, Intelligent Solutions. The role strengthens the organisation's AML/CFT framework while ensuring adherence to UAE regulatory requirements and industry best practices, working closely with stakeholders on governance, risk management and financial crime prevention.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation and ongoing enhancement of the AML/CFT framework in line with CBUAE regulations.
• Oversee KYC, customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD) and periodic customer reviews.
• Monitor AML controls across insurance operations, including premium payments, claims, refunds, cancellations and third-party transactions.
• Review and escalate suspicious activities and ensure timely reporting under UAE AML regulations.
• Manage sanctions screening and support compliance with UAE, UN and international sanctions requirements.
• Conduct AML risk assessments and support regulatory inspections, audits and remediation.
• Prepare AML dashboards, management reports, regulatory submissions and compliance documentation.
• Deliver AML guidance and awareness across underwriting, claims, operations and other functions, and continuously improve AML policies, procedures and controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management or a related discipline.
• 4-7 years of AML/CFT compliance experience in insurance or financial services.
• Experience supporting regulatory audits, inspections and compliance reporting.
• Professional certifications such as CAMS, ICA, ACAMS or equivalent are highly preferred.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of UAE AML/CFT regulations, CBUAE requirements, CDD, EDD, sanctions screening and the goAML reporting framework.
• Analytical, investigation and risk assessment capabilities with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and documentation skills.
• High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
