Apprenticeship – Technical Vehicle Maintenance Trainee

About the role

EDGE is seeking a motivated UAE national to join its Apprentice Graduate Trainee Program. Over 12 months you will receive structured training and mentorship, preparing you for a full‑time technical role supporting land platforms and heavy utility vehicles for the UAE Armed Forces.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in technical inspections, troubleshooting, disassembly, repair, rebuild and overhauling of light and heavy tracked vehicle systems.
• Support technicians in maintenance, repair and servicing according to manufacturer manuals and KPI standards.
• Help replace major assemblies such as powerpacks, engines, transmissions and related sub‑assemblies.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and complete related documentation (work orders, parts requests, technical data sheets).
• Record maintenance data, manage tools, PPE and ensure proper handling of serviceable and unserviceable parts.
• Perform additional duties as directed by the Apprentice Program Manager.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred) and completion of formal vocational training.
• Ability to read, speak and write English.
• Valid UAE driver’s licence (or ability to obtain one).
• Basic understanding of hydraulic and electrical schematics.
