About the role

Aldar Education is seeking an outstanding Arabic and Islamic Teacher for Abdulla Bin Otaiba Charter School in Abu Dhabi for the Academic Year 2026/27. The role involves delivering high‑quality, inspiring lessons that support the school’s American curriculum and its vision of a sustainable, innovative learning community.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver inspiring Arabic and Islamic lessons that meet the American curriculum requirements.
• Plan, prepare and present sessions catering to the full ability range, using classroom resources and displays.
• Assess and record student progress using Target Tracker and provide feedback to parents.
• Collaborate with colleagues, curriculum support staff and external professionals such as speech and language therapists.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Education or Islamic Education, with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• 1‑2 years of teaching experience in Arabic and Islamic subjects, preferably with learners for whom English is not the first language.
• Clean enhanced DBS/police check and residency in the same emirate as the school.

Required skills

• Proficiency with assessment tools such as Target Tracker and CPOMS.
• Strong classroom management and ability to follow the school’s behaviour policy.
