Arabic Teacher (Islamic) – Full‑Time – Dubai

About the role

Deliver quality and effective Arabic lessons in a school‑based environment, ensuring lessons are well‑planned and aligned with departmental schemes of work and GEMS Core Values. The role includes supervising assigned students, student activities and teaching assistants, and fostering a safe, supportive learning atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Arabic curriculum (Arabic A for speakers and Arabic B for non‑speakers) in line with school policies and examination specifications.
• Use the Teacher Planner to document lesson delivery, marking, and assessment activities.
• Assess student progress, maintain accurate achievement records, and set/homework assignments according to school policies.
• Prepare students thoroughly for examinations and identify those needing additional support.
• Contribute to the development and revision of schemes of work and share best practices with colleagues.
• Build positive relationships with parents, attend consultations, and produce high‑quality subject reports.
• Participate in staff meetings, committees, and undertake any additional duties as required by managers.

Required profile

• Recognised Arabic teaching qualification.
• Minimum two years of relevant teaching experience in schools.
• Ability to teach Arabic to both native speakers and non‑speakers.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
