Arabic Teacher (Maternity Cover) – Jan 2027

About the role

Aldar Education is looking for an Arabic Teacher to cover a maternity leave at Al Muna British Academy in Abu Dhabi, starting immediately and running through January 2027. The role follows the UAE Ministry of Education (MOE) curriculum and supports students from FS1 to Year 8 in a state‑of‑the‑art campus.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess Arabic language lessons in line with the MOE syllabus and school schemes of work.
• Create engaging classroom environments, including displays and learning resources, to motivate a diverse ability range.
• Differentiate instruction for SEN, EAL and gifted‑and‑talented learners and collaborate with specialists such as speech therapists.
• Record student progress using Target Tracker, analyse data and provide feedback to parents at PTMs.
• Participate in school events, extra‑curricular activities and curriculum action groups.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education with a focus on Arabic Language and Islamic Studies (or equivalent post‑teaching qualification).
• 1–2 years of teaching experience in a similar MOE setting.
• Professional, approachable demeanor with strong interpersonal skills for a multicultural community.
• Ability to use IT tools and online platforms to support 21st‑century teaching.
