Arabic Teacher - Noya British School

About the role

Aldar Education is recruiting an Arabic teacher for Noya British School, its newest flagship school on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. The school sits in a community close to amenities and entertainment, in an international setting, and the successful candidate will align with the school's core values and understand the values of the region.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lessons that inspire students to succeed and work with colleagues to plan engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements.
• Plan, prepare and present sessions covering the whole ability range, and organise classroom provision and learning resources.
• Observe and assess children according to school assessments, and use assessment data to inform planning, provision and intervention.
• Record student development in Target Tracker, give feedback to parents and carers at parent-teacher conferences, and run a weekly ECA each term.
• Manage classes effectively, follow the school's behaviour policy, and maintain positive relationships with pupils while acting decisively when needed.
• Meet with professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and educational psychologists where required.
• Work in a curriculum action group, take part in school events and activities, and communicate with parents through school systems such as CPOMS.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in the related subject with PGCE or another teacher qualification; documents must be attested.
• At least 1-2 years of teaching experience.
• Previous experience working with students for whom English is not their first language.
• Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.
• Must reside in the same Emirate as the school.
