Architectural Engineer – Substation & 400kV Line

About the role

We are looking for an Architectural Engineer to support the design, technical review, tendering, quality and site‑coordination activities for high‑voltage substation projects in Dubai. The role focuses on DEWA 400kV & 132kV substations and associated transmission works.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare architectural scopes of work for transmission‑project tenders.
• Conduct plot‑verification and master‑plan studies.
• Review tender amendments, technical queries, offers, deviations and recommendation reports.
• Review architectural drawings, material submittals, technical documents, BIM models and vendor submissions.
• Support substation elevation, façade and colour‑scheme design in line with project and DEWA requirements.
• Participate in design, technical, interface and progress meetings and conduct site visits and quality audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering or Civil Engineering with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a Diploma with at least 7 years.
• Experience in substations, utility infrastructure, industrial facilities or large‑scale construction projects.
• Strong technical coordination, problem‑solving and report‑writing skills.
• Ability to coordinate with contractors, consultants, vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
