Artificial Intelligence Intern

About the role

APCO is seeking an Artificial Intelligence Intern to join its Dubai office. The intern will assist the AI and Digital Transformation team in developing, testing and applying AI‑enabled tools that support communications, research and digital transformation projects. This role is ideal for a curious, analytical student eager to explore how AI and natural language processing can generate insights for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development, testing and refinement of AI and NLP tools for research, analysis and communications use cases.
• Collect, clean, organize and analyse structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
• Identify patterns and insights that inform client work and internal innovation.
• Research emerging AI tools, digital transformation trends and relevant applications.
• Prepare presentations, summaries, reports and visual outputs that translate technical findings into clear recommendations.
• Collaborate with team members to test AI models, evaluate outputs and document findings.
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing by tracking new technologies, tools and use cases.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in computer science, computer engineering, data science, artificial intelligence or a related field.
• Strong interest in AI, machine learning, NLP and digital transformation.
• Ability to work with data, conduct research and communicate insights to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Curious, proactive and comfortable experimenting with new tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Available to work on‑site in Dubai.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Familiarity with data analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy).
• Familiarity with machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit‑learn, TensorFlow).
