Assistant Accountant

About the role

AFPC UAE is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Junior / Assistant Accountant to join its Finance Team in Dubai. The role suits candidates who want to build their accounting career in a dynamic, collaborative environment, supporting daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations and assisting with financial reporting. Experience in FMCG, trading or inventory accounting is an added advantage.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and process day-to-day accounting transactions
• Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP)
• Prepare and reconcile customer Statements of Account (SOA)
• Perform inventory, stock, supplier and general ledger reconciliations
• Support month-end closing, financial reporting and documentation
• Coordinate with internal departments, customers and suppliers on accounting matters

Required profile

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation procedures
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Good communication, organisational and multitasking abilities
• Proactive attitude and ability to work well in a team
• Experience in FMCG, trading or inventory accounting is an added advantage
