Assistant Auditor - Forensic Audit

About the role

du is hiring an Assistant Auditor in Dubai to carry out forensic audits referred by the Manager of Forensic Audit, the Senior Director of Technical and Special Audit or the Head of Internal Control (designated Whistleblowing officer). The role covers investigations, recovery of overcharges and excess payments, and reporting to executive management.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct forensic investigations professionally and on time, based on information from whistleblowing channels, management or the financial and operational/technical audit sections.
• Prioritise forensic assignments according to risk rating and urgency.
• Plan audit assignments, including objectives, scope and approach.
• Follow up agreed action plans with business owners and validate observations, obtaining action plans and timelines.
• Support recovery of overcharges, excess payments, revenue improvement and cost reduction.
• Issue detailed internal audit reports and summary presentations to executive management through the Manager of Forensic Audit.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships, provide consultancy and support to other departments, and keep up with developments in internal audit, forensic areas and new auditing techniques.
• Share knowledge and work as a team player.

Required profile

• Diploma degree in Accounting.
• Bachelor's degree in System Security and Forensics, Networking or IT Security.
• Other audit-related studies are an asset (e.g. CA, CPA, CIA, CFE).
• 1-3 years of experience in internal audit, including telecom audit and forensic audit.

Required skills

• Prompt identification of criticalities and good analytical skills.
• Good verbal and written communication in English and Arabic.
• Planning and organising, and work management.
