Assistant Chief Engineer

About the role

The Assistant Chief Engineer supports the Chief Engineer in overseeing the Engineering department of The WB™ Abu Dhabi Curio Collection By Hilton™. The role ensures that all hotel facilities, equipment, and building systems operate to the highest standards, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily engineering operations, ensuring efficient maintenance activities and compliance with hotel standards.
• Plan, coordinate, and follow up on preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimise downtime.
• Supervise and develop engineering staff through coaching, training and performance feedback.
• Maintain compliance with Hilton standards, local health and safety regulations, fire safety and environmental practices.
• Support energy‑conservation initiatives, cost‑control measures and inventory management.
• Collaborate with hotel departments, contractors and service providers to resolve technical issues promptly.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3–5 years of engineering experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a similar role.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proactive mindset with a commitment to guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
