Assistant Design Manager / Architect of Record

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Design Manager who will also act as Architect of Record for multidisciplinary projects across the UAE/GCC region. The role involves ensuring technical accuracy, code compliance, and permit readiness of architectural documentation while supporting senior design management.

Key responsibilities

• Support design management activities across multidisciplinary projects, coordinating architectural, engineering and specialist inputs.
• Act independently as Architect of Record, taking responsibility for technical accuracy, completeness and compliance of drawings and specifications.
• Review architectural and multidisciplinary design packages for compliance with local authority and permitting requirements.
• Manage the permitting and approval process with authorities such as DDA, Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, or equivalents.
• Coordinate submissions, track approvals and resolve authority comments to ensure designs are construction‑ready.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
• Post‑graduate experience in architectural design and design management within the UAE/GCC region.
• Proven experience as an Architect of Record or Design Manager, including obtaining approvals from DDA or equivalent authorities.
• Strong knowledge of UAE/GCC building codes, local authority regulations and permitting processes.
