Assistant Director of Finance – Luxury Hospitality

About the role

Join the world of luxury hospitality at Raffles Dubai as the Assistant Director of Finance. You will support the Cluster Director of Finance in overseeing all financial aspects of the hotel’s operations, ensuring compliance with local and corporate policies while supervising the Accounting office.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Cluster Director of Finance in preparing the annual budget, FF&E budgets and rolling forecasts.
• Provide accurate financial and management reports to hotel management, corporate office and owners.
• Analyse financial data, interpret variations and communicate findings in a clear manner.
• Ensure adequate cash flow, approve cash disbursements, rebates, adjustments and allowances.
• Verify accruals, journal entries and maintain reconciliations for all balance‑sheet accounts in line with GAAP.
• Prepare or oversee preparation of all local, state and federal tax returns.
• Maintain a single chart of accounts, payroll and expense dictionary for consistent reporting.
• Manage capital processes, fixed‑asset sub‑ledgers and depreciation tracking.

Required profile

• Thorough knowledge of corporate policies and procedures.
• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting in a hotel environment.
• Ability to protect owners’ and management company’s interests in hotel assets.
