Assistant Director of Sales

About the role

The Assistant Director of Sales supports the Director of Sales in managing the hotel’s daily sales operations across all market segments. The role focuses on driving revenue growth, developing profitable business opportunities, and ensuring the sales team meets its financial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of the Sales team across assigned market segments.
• Implement departmental standards, strategies, and quality guidelines set by Rixos Regional Sales.
• Assume responsibility for the Sales Department in the Director’s absence.
• Lead financial, administrative, and operational activities under the Director’s guidance.
• Prepare sales reports, business plans, revenue forecasts, and expense budgets.
• Manage and develop top‑producing MICE accounts to achieve revenue targets.
• Identify and secure new business while growing existing accounts.
• Develop, monitor, and evaluate sales strategies for Rooms and Food & Beverage revenue.
• Conduct sales calls, account reviews, market analysis, and competitor assessments.
• Welcome and manage hotel site inspections when the Director is unavailable.
• Train, coach, motivate, and develop Sales team members.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a sales leadership role, preferably in hospitality.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Sales or related field preferred.
• Proven ability to manage key accounts, develop new business, and drive Rooms and Food & Beverage revenue.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, presentation and relationship‑management skills.
• Russian language proficiency is preferred.
