Assistant Engineering Manager – Jumeirah Al Naseem

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Engineering Manager to join the engineering team at Jumeirah Al Naseem, a luxury resort in the United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will support the Engineering Manager in delivering reliable, energy‑efficient operations across the property.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing engineering strategies, preventive maintenance schedules, and energy‑saving initiatives.
• Supervise daily engineering operations, ensuring timely completion of work orders and compliance with standard operating procedures.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and tools, overseeing cost‑effective procurement and usage.
• Prepare reports on maintenance activities, equipment performance, and budget utilization.
• Support recruitment, training, and development of engineering staff.
• Handle escalated technical issues and coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs.

Required profile

• Minimum of 60 months (5 years) of relevant engineering experience, preferably in a hospitality environment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to supervise a team.
• Proven ability to work with vendors and manage technical escalations.
