Assistant Food & Beverage Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to support the F&B Manager at Emirates Flight Catering in Dubai. The role ensures compliance with safety and quality standards, oversees staff performance, and contributes to menu development and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the company safety management system, HACCP, hygiene policies and EKFC safety standards.
• Assess manpower needs, conduct on‑the‑job orientation and training, and monitor staff performance.
• Manage staff costs, including overtime and unplanned absences, and monitor lounge operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with the production department on menu changes, food presentation and other kitchen matters.
• Support the F&B Manager in developing new beverage menus and concepts.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints about food quality or service.
• Analyse customer feedback to identify improvement opportunities and recommend actions.
• Apply the ISO 9001:2015 quality policy and follow department procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, hotel management or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of hospitality experience, including at least 1 year in a managerial role within a 5‑star environment.
• Experience with luxury hotel and standalone restaurant operations.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene protocols.
• Demonstrated achievements in food quality and cost control.
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
