Assistant Front Office Manager

About the role

Minor Hotels is looking for an Assistant Front Office Manager for its Dukes The Palm Dubai hotel, part of the Colbert Collection. The role combines a pleasant personality with a dynamic professional attitude to supervise and lead the front office team, handle complaints and prepare monthly reports and budgets for the department.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the front office team and oversee daily front desk operations, including check-ins, check-outs and guest inquiries.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
• Train and motivate staff to deliver high-quality customer service and manage guest complaints promptly and professionally.
• Coordinate with other departments, monitor performance metrics and guest satisfaction scores, and ensure compliance with brand standards and local regulations.
• Maintain efficient front office procedures and systems, and develop revenue management strategies to maximise occupancy and revenue.
• Handle VIP guests and special requests carefully, and recommend local attractions and events to guests.

Required profile

• Proven experience as Assistant Front Office Manager or in a similar role.
• Previous experience in a large hotel with at least 500 keys in a luxury property; pre-opening experience is an advantage.
• Ability to work in shifts and to perform well in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Full working knowledge of the Opera system (essential).
• Active listening and effective communication.
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
