Assistant General Manager – Abu Dhabi

About the role

The client is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Assistant General Manager to lead and grow its Abu Dhabi operations in freight forwarding, logistics and transportation. This senior leadership role combines sales, business development, operational management and customer relationship responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales and business development initiatives.
• Oversee day‑to‑day management of the Abu Dhabi branch.
• Manage dangerous goods and specialised logistics services.
• Lead freight forwarding and transportation activities.
• Maintain key account relationships and ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Handle contracts, tenders and commercial negotiations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Commerce, Engineering or a related field.
• 15–20+ years of relevant experience in the UAE logistics industry.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior managerial or leadership role.
• Currently based in Abu Dhabi with strong knowledge of the local business environment.
• Proven track record in sales and business development within freight forwarding, logistics or transportation.
