Delivery Driver – Medicines & Supplies

About the role

The role ensures the timely and safe delivery of pharmaceutical products and medical supplies to customers and healthcare facilities. The driver works in all scheduled shifts and must follow the hospital’s regulations, infection-control, patient-safety and occupational health standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver medicines and medical supplies to designated locations while maintaining product integrity.
• Adhere to all shift schedules set by the Head of Department and follow documented OSH and safety procedures.
• Comply with infection-control, patient-safety, JCI, ISO and other hospital policies.
• Participate in continuous quality-improvement activities and in-service training programs.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital information.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment and follow safe cargo-handling practices.
• Assist with risk-assessment preparation and attend required safety training.
• Cooperate with the pharmacy and other departments to meet OSHMS requirements.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid UAE driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
• Good knowledge of the local road network and routes within the UAE.
• Physical fitness to lift and carry medical supplies as needed.
• Excellent communication and customer-service orientation.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling medical products.
• Knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology (a plus).
• Willingness to work in all shifts and follow all safety and infection-control policies.
