Assistant Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports the Executive Housekeeper in overseeing daily housekeeping operations at NH Collection Dubai The Palm, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, comfort and presentation for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house areas in line with brand standards.
• Plan daily work assignments, coordinate staffing, and manage duty rosters to match occupancy and operational needs.
• Inspect rooms and areas, ensure corrective actions are taken promptly, and coordinate with Front Office and Engineering for room readiness and maintenance.
• Handle guest requests related to housekeeping, supervise and develop housekeeping staff, and support recruitment, onboarding and performance reviews.
• Monitor inventory of linen, amenities, cleaning supplies and equipment, and assist with budgeting and purchasing.
• Ensure compliance with health‑safety, hygiene, lost‑and‑found, key control and sustainability procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Assistant Housekeeping Manager or Housekeeping Supervisor in an upscale or luxury hotel.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, room inspections, linen management and cleaning standards.
• Proven ability to lead, train and motivate a multicultural team.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational and problem‑solving skills, and commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Good written and spoken English; flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Familiarity with hotel property management systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
