Assistant Manager - Finance (Insurance)

About the role

Orient Insurance PJSC, part of Al Futtaim Group, is looking for an Emirati Assistant Manager in Finance within its financial services division. The role supports the Finance Manager in preparing budgets, management reports and financial statistics required by government ministries, and supervises the maintenance of the accounts receivable ledger.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise preparation of the accounts receivable ledger for the Orient head office so clients receive timely statements of account.
• Reconcile the head office, branch and chief agency receivable statements with the general ledger and flag variances for follow-up.
• Help the Finance Manager collect and compile data for underwriting and financial reports submitted to management.
• Compile financial and statistical reports submitted to government departments in line with statutory requirements.
• Review and analyse branch reports to verify accuracy and assign accounting effects to transactions.
• Maintain and update insurance broker accounts and check premium registers for variances.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• UAE national with family book.
• Fresh graduate or 1-2 years of experience in banking or an insurance company.
• Living in Sharjah or Dubai, able to join immediately.

Required skills

• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Good MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
• Proactive, self-motivated, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
