Assistant Manager Financial Modelling – Renewable Energy

About the role

Yellow Door Energy is seeking a dynamic Assistant Manager, Financial Modelling to support its renewable energy portfolio in the Middle East and Africa. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Financial Modelling, you will develop and maintain complex models that drive financing and strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and review detailed financial models for renewable energy projects, including cash‑flow forecasts, capital structures, debt/equity terms, tax assumptions, IRR, NPV and DSCR.
• Run sensitivity, downside and scenario analyses to support investment and financing decisions.
• Support consolidated, portfolio and TopCo model updates, reconciliations and provide modelling assistance for project finance, corporate finance and acquisition activities.
• Collaborate with Finance, Business Development, Technical, Commercial and Legal teams to validate model inputs and assumptions, and present key outputs and risks to internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) with strong finance and accounting exposure.
• 4+ years of hands‑on financial modelling experience in project finance, corporate finance, infrastructure, energy, banking or advisory.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities across functions.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel modelling (cash‑flow forecasting, valuation, sensitivities, scenario analysis).
• Practical VBA coding experience.
• Good understanding of accounting and financial concepts.
