Relationship Manager - Wealth Management (UAE National)

About the role

The bank is looking for a UAE National Relationship Manager in wealth management to acquire and manage high-net-worth (HNW) clients and grow its HNW client base. The role involves transferring HNW clients' portfolios to Emirates Investment Bank to generate fee income and assets under management (AUM), working closely with team leaders, the Head of Business Development and investment advisors to keep client product suitability in line with internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Sourcing new qualified clients according to the on-boarding business plan and generating net fee income and AUM through investment products.
• Maintaining regular face-to-face contact with clients, profiling their risk and return aspirations and keeping their risk profile suitable with investment advisors.
• Increasing assets under management of existing clients, providing monthly sales and performance reports and attending product training.
• Managing client portfolios, updating the Head of Business Development on performance and market updates, and analysing clients' financial standing to assess credit risk.
• Recommending, rejecting or approving credit facilities within prescribed limits after analysing net worth and financial standing.
• Monitoring service level agreements, coordinating with on-boarding, credit, operations, technology and treasury, and answering compliance, credit and AML queries within 48 hours.
• Ensuring KYC documentation is complete, KYC and risk profiles are reviewed regularly, and that all internal and external training and CPD hours are completed.

Required profile

• Overall 10-15 years of experience in banking.
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in wealth management, private banking or asset management.
• CISI qualification.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
