Assistant Manager - General Ledger & Income Audit

About the role

The Assistant Manager – General Ledger & Income Audit leads revenue verification and financial recording for Yas Plaza Hotels’ shared services. You will ensure daily revenue integrity, compliance with internal controls, and accurate general ledger management across multiple hotel outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, posting all journal entries accurately and on time.
• Execute monthly closing procedures, including accruals, adjustments and reconciliations.
• Review and reconcile balance‑sheet accounts, investigating variances.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and support internal and external audits.
• Oversee daily audit of hotel revenue streams (rooms, F&B, spa, etc.) and verify reports against POS and PMS systems.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in revenue postings, voids, discounts and payment variances.
• Ensure proper recording of service charges, taxes and gratuities in line with USALI.
• Collaborate with accounts payable, receivable and other finance team members to guarantee data completeness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CPA or equivalent a plus).
• 10+ years of hotel or hospitality accounting experience, focusing on AP and general ledger functions.
• Strong knowledge of the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI).
• Proven ability to lead a team and work cross‑functionally.

Required skills

• Hotel accounting software such as FMC, SunSystems, OPERA.
• Advanced Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Analytical attention to detail.
