Assistant Manager – Housekeeping (Burj Al Arab)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Assistant Manager to support the Executive Housekeeper in delivering exceptional housekeeping services at the iconic Burj Al Arab in Dubai. The role ensures smooth operations, high guest satisfaction and adherence to the hotel’s standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all housekeeping services to meet departmental standards.
• Evaluate department operations and propose improvements to the Executive Housekeeper.
• Assign duties to team members and assist colleagues with their tasks.
• Monitor linen rooms, pantries, florist and stores to ensure smooth flow of supplies.
• Interact with external parties such as suppliers and contractors.
• Maintain records of cleaning schedules, carpet shampoo, drapery cleaning, mattress turning and other suite services.
• Follow up on out‑of‑order suites and conduct inspections of corridors, service areas, staircases and public restrooms.
• Track VIP arrivals and ensure suites are thoroughly inspected.
• Ensure equipment is well maintained and handle guest complaints according to policy.
• Check logbooks, follow up on outstanding matters and assist with inventories.
• Support the Executive Housekeeper with administrative tasks and handovers.

Required profile

• Fundamental school education.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a 5‑star hotel property.
• Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
• Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office and Property Management Systems.
• Passionate about hospitality, solution‑oriented, flexible and a team player.
