Assistant Manager Industrial Hygiene

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Industrial Hygiene will lead hygiene, sanitation and environmental monitoring programmes at Nestlé’s Dubai manufacturing site, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and delivering safe, high‑quality products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve factory hygiene, cleaning and sanitation programmes.
• Manage environmental monitoring, microbiological verification and routine hygiene inspections.
• Oversee pest‑management activities and drive corrective actions.
• Ensure proper hygienic zoning, personnel practices and contamination‑prevention controls.
• Conduct hygiene audits, trend analyses and root‑cause investigations, supporting corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain readiness for FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, Halal and local regulatory audits.
• Provide training and coaching on hygiene, sanitation and food‑safety practices to employees and contractors.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives to strengthen food‑safety culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology or related science.
• 3‑5 years of experience in food manufacturing or hospitality within the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE food‑safety regulations and standards.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
