Assistant Manager – Internal Audit, Natural Resources & Energy

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Manager to lead end‑to‑end internal audit, ICOFR and ERM engagements for our UAE‑based Natural Resources & Energy clients. The role involves planning risk‑based audits, evaluating internal controls and supporting enterprise risk management frameworks while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end Internal Audit, ICOFR, and ERM engagements across UAE client portfolios.
• Plan and execute risk‑based internal audits focusing on financial, operational, compliance and governance processes.
• Evaluate and enhance internal controls and ICOFR frameworks in IFRS‑aligned reporting environments.
• Support Enterprise Risk Management frameworks, risk identification and risk register development.
• Perform control design and operating effectiveness assessments and identify key control gaps.
• Manage multiple engagements independently and lead teams of 3‑5 members, providing supervision, review and coaching.
• Prepare and present audit/ERM findings and actionable recommendations to senior client stakeholders.

Required profile

• Qualified CA, ACCA or CFA (mandatory); CIA, CISA, CFE or DISA advantageous.
• 5–8 years post‑qualification experience with strong exposure to Internal Audit, ICOFR and ERM.
• Prior UAE experience in consulting or industry, preferably within Energy, Oil & Gas, Power, Utilities or Metals & Mining.
• Familiarity with UAE regulatory environment (ADAA, ADGM, CMA) preferred.
• Experience leading small teams and managing client‑facing assignments independently.
• Strong analytical, communication and report writing skills.
