Assistant Manager - Procurement

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Manager – Procurement to support the procurement function of Wynn Al Marjan Island, a new luxury resort under construction in the United Arab Emirates. The role will work closely with user departments, the warehouse and external suppliers to ensure the timely and cost‑effective acquisition of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Source, negotiate and procure products and services in line with company policies.
• Prepare RFQ and RFP documents and analyse bid responses to make fiscally sound recommendations.
• Maintain market intelligence on required commodities and manage supplier relationships within contractual guidelines.
• Collaborate with warehouse and user departments to maintain appropriate stock levels and conduct quality checks on incoming merchandise.
• Resolve discrepancies between purchase orders, receiving documents and vendor invoices.
• Maintain accurate logs of purchasing activities and assist in preparing monthly reports and KPI dashboards.
• Enforce internal controls, policies and procedures for inventory and non‑inventory purchases.
• Provide training to team members on product knowledge, system applications and negotiation techniques.
• Uphold confidentiality, health and safety standards and participate in sustainability initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement or supply‑chain functions, preferably within hospitality.
• Strong negotiation and supplier‑management capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Good understanding of internal controls, reporting and KPI tracking.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
