Assistant Manager – Production

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Production will lead daily ready‑mix concrete operations, ensuring production aligns with sales orders, schedules and delivery commitments while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and run daily production, coordinating with Dispatch, Sales and QC teams.
• Oversee batching plant operations, ensuring each batch meets approved mix designs and specifications.
• Manage large and continuous pours, including night, hot‑weather, chilled‑water and special mixes.
• Monitor plant productivity metrics (m³/hour, truck turnaround, uptime) and resolve bottlenecks.
• Control inventory of cement, GGBS, fly ash, aggregates, sand and admixtures, and raise material requirements timely.
• Ensure quality control compliance with grade, slump, temperature and durability requirements.
• Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant equipment to minimise downtime.
• Enforce HSE rules, ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations and support ISO 9001/14001/45001 audits.
• Lead, train and assess production staff, plan shifts and prepare production reports and KPIs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8–12 years of ready‑mix concrete production experience, with 3–5 years in a supervisory or assistant‑manager role.
• UAE/GCC ready‑mix experience strongly preferred.
• Valid UAE driving licence preferred.

Required skills

• Hands‑on knowledge of batching plant systems and controls (e.g., Liebherr, Elkon, SIMEM, MEKA).
• Expertise in concrete mix design, hot‑weather concreting and local specifications (Dubai Municipality, BS EN 206, ASTM).
• Material inventory management and waste control.
• Quality control procedures for concrete production.
• Plant equipment maintenance coordination.
• Health, safety and environment compliance.
