Assistant Manager - Shared Services Center (Accounting & Tax)

About the role

IFZA Dubai, a Free Zone Community in the UAE offering company formation services, is hiring an Assistant Manager for its Shared Services Center, which supports licensees with accounting and tax compliance. The role covers client management, process improvement, team leadership, financial tracking and invoicing, and sits within a growing department.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for client escalations and coordinate accounting reports, tax filings and compliance documents
• Support onboarding of new clients and maintain long-term client relationships
• Evaluate workflows, implement best practices in documentation and reporting, and support new accounting tools and automation
• Supervise juniors (team leaders, accountants) and support staff, allocate workloads and monitor progress against deadlines
• Oversee invoicing, track project budgets and revenue forecasts, and assist in monthly and quarterly financial reports
• Ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards, support audits, stay up to date on tax laws and accounting standards, and propose improvements to controls
• Work with other departments on projects and handle ad-hoc accounting and tax requests for the wider IFZA organization

Required profile

• Qualified CA/ACCA professional with at least 7-8 years of accounting experience
• At least 2 years of experience managing a team of 6+ people
• Excellent English communication; another language is a plus
• Strong project management skills with a process-oriented mindset

Required skills

• Fundamentals of accounting (IFRS knowledge)
• In-depth knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax
• Technical accounting expertise
• Knowledge of ERP systems
