Assistant Manager - TAX

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Assistant Manager to support our Direct and Indirect Tax teams in Dubai. The role focuses on UAE VAT and Excise compliance while also assisting with corporate tax and transfer pricing matters.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and plan end‑to‑end Group VAT and excise compliance processes for UAE entities on a monthly basis.
• Support Direct and Indirect Tax Managers with ad‑hoc tax queries from business stakeholders.
• Assist with excise product registrations and application of digital tax stamps.
• Handle VAT group administration, including reconciliations, forecasting and accounting postings.
• Ensure readiness for tax audits (Indirect and Direct) and support during assessments.
• Assist Transfer Pricing team with margin analysis and local file preparation.
• Support Corporate Tax manager with inter‑company recharge calculations and group tax computations on a quarterly basis.
• Participate in special projects such as VAT refund claims, automation initiatives, e‑invoicing implementation and process improvements.
• Maintain Tax SOX compliance controls and act as liaison between finance, auditors, tax consultants and regulators.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA or actively pursuing such qualification.
• 3–5 years of UAE tax compliance experience.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Excise regulations.
• Basic understanding of Transfer Pricing.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
