Assistant Nurse – Pre‑Anesthesia Clinic

About the role

American Hospital Dubai is looking for an Assistant Nurse to join its Pre‑Anesthesia Clinic. The role involves delivering patient‑centered nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, ensuring safety and comfort for patients preparing for anesthesia.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and support to patients in the Pre‑Anesthesia Clinic.
• Monitor and report changes in patients' health status, vital signs, pain levels, and intake/output.
• Assist with routine procedures such as blood draws and removal of peripheral IV lines.
• Document care provided, maintain accurate records, and ensure confidentiality.
• Follow infection‑control protocols and proper waste disposal procedures.
• Support patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, feeding, and mobility.

Required profile

• Diploma of Nursing (minimum 18‑month program).
• Current and valid Dubai Health Authority (DHA) nursing license.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of quality improvement, infection control, and nursing standards.

Required skills

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) competency.
• Patient vital signs monitoring.
• Intake and output documentation.
