Assistant Professor – Genomics, Bioinformatics and Precision Medicine

About the role

Abu Dhabi University’s College of Health Sciences is seeking an Assistant Professor to lead teaching and research in genomics, bioinformatics and precision medicine. The successful candidate will join a dynamic faculty team, contributing to undergraduate and graduate programmes on its Abu Dhabi campus.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in genomics, bioinformatics and precision medicine.
• Supervise and mentor students on research projects and theses.
• Participate in curriculum development and academic planning.
• Conduct independent research, publish findings and secure external funding.
• Collaborate with faculty and report to the Dean to align activities with the college’s mission.

Required profile

• PhD in genomics, bioinformatics, precision medicine or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the university level.
• Active research record with publications in relevant fields.
• Commitment to service and community engagement within the college.
