Assistant Professor in Finance & FinTech

About the role

The College of Business at Abu Dhabi University is seeking a full‑time Assistant Professor to teach Finance and Financial Technology across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The role combines teaching, research, curriculum development and service to the university community.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in finance, FinTech and related subjects.
• Develop a robust research agenda leading to publications in high‑quality, peer‑reviewed journals.
• Supervise student projects, internships and theses.
• Contribute to curriculum design, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards and industry trends.
• Participate in departmental, college and university committees.
• Engage in continuous professional development through workshops and conferences.
• Foster industry collaborations and support outreach initiatives.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Finance, Financial Technology or a closely related field from an internationally recognised university.
• Minimum two years of teaching experience in accredited higher‑education institutions.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching and a strong commitment to research.
• Evidence of curriculum development and innovative teaching practices.
• Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, CFtP or FDB are desirable.
• Professional proficiency in English (oral and written); Arabic is a plus.
