Assistant Professor in Operations Management

About the role

The College of Business at Abu Dhabi University is seeking a full‑time Assistant Professor to teach and research in Operations Management. The successful candidate will join a dynamic faculty, delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses while advancing scholarly work in the field.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Operations and Supply Chain Management and related disciplines.
• Develop and maintain a research agenda leading to publications in high‑quality, peer‑reviewed journals.
• Supervise student projects, internships, and theses.
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous program improvement, aligning with accreditation standards and industry practices.
• Participate in departmental, college, and university committees and academic initiatives.
• Engage with the business community to foster industry collaboration and support outreach activities.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or a closely related field from an internationally recognised university.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching and a strong commitment to high‑quality research.
• Proven record of curriculum development and innovative teaching practices.
• At least two years of teaching experience at the university level.
• Evidence of scholarly publications in reputable, peer‑reviewed journals.
• Industry practice, consultancy or professional service experience is highly desirable.
