Assistant Professor of Public Relations & Advertising

About the role

Abu Dhabi University is looking for a dynamic Assistant Professor to teach and research in Public Relations and Advertising. This full‑time faculty position will support undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, combining theory with real‑world practice.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality lectures and seminars in PR, advertising, brand communication and digital media.
• Prepare, update and assess course materials, assignments and examinations.
• Supervise student projects and theses to ensure learning outcomes are met.
• Contribute to curriculum design and continuous programme improvement.
• Align teaching content with current industry trends and international academic standards.
• Engage in scholarly research, publish findings and enhance the university’s academic profile.
• Participate in academic advising, departmental service and industry partnership activities.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree in Public Relations, Advertising, Strategic Communication or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the university level.
• Active research record with publications or creative industry outputs.
• Strong communication abilities and a commitment to student development.
• Experience in academic advising and collaboration with industry partners is highly valued.
