Assistant Resident Engineer (Civil - Infrastructure)

About the role

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Assistant Resident Engineer (Civil - Infrastructure) to join our team. You will report to the Resident Engineer and assist in supervising the construction of roads and infrastructure works and associated items.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Engineer in supervising construction of roads, bridges and related infrastructure.
• Act as the Resident Engineer during his absence and coordinate activities with other engineers and the supervision team.
• Review shop drawings, design proposals, method statements and utility correspondence, preparing replies as needed.
• Maintain daily diaries, inspector reports and prepare weekly/monthly progress reports.
• Coordinate scheduling and resource allocation with contractor engineers.
• Direct, assist and monitor inspectors and surveyors, ensuring accuracy of records and as‑built drawings.
• Chair meetings with service authorities, contractors and subcontractors and oversee safety procedures on site.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with at least 10 years of experience in design, site supervision and construction management of major infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to review material submissions, analyse laboratory reports, conduct acceptance sampling and enforce quality measures in line with project specifications.
• Strong knowledge of contractual relationships and full computer literacy with engineering and construction software.
• Fluent in written and spoken English with excellent technical communication skills.
• Available to work in the United Arab Emirates.
